A Love of Dresses, Years in the Making
Long before Rose & Mews had a name, it was a feeling shared by two girls.
From childhood, we were fascinated by dresses. Not simply by how they looked, but by everything they seemed to hold: anticipation, imagination and the promise of somewhere special to go.
A dress could make an ordinary afternoon feel important. It could become part of a celebration before the celebration had even begun. And years later, it could bring back not only the memory of an occasion, but the person you were when you wore it.
As we grew, that affection never left us.
Dresses remained part of how we understood femininity, self expression and life’s most meaningful moments. The excitement of finding one that felt just right. The quiet ritual of getting ready. The way the right silhouette, colour or detail could change how you carried yourself, while still allowing you to feel completely like you.
There was no single dramatic moment when Rose & Mews began.
It was a dream that grew with us.
A dream shaped by years of conversations, shared ideas and a genuine love for the role dresses play in women’s lives. Eventually, we decided to give that dream a name and build a brand around it.
Rose & Mews is the expression of that lifelong love.
We believe a beautiful dress should never ask you to become someone else. It should help you recognise something in yourself: a little more presence, a little more possibility, and the feeling that this moment belongs to you.
That is why our world is centred around dresses for occasions worth remembering: the celebrations anticipated for months, the invitations that make your heart lift, and the evenings that become stories you will tell for years.
We are still the same two girls who believed dresses could carry a little magic.
Only now, we have the privilege of sharing that feeling with you.
